Postby strat.76 » Wed Jul 21, 2010 8:56 am

Hi all.

Round 2 of the Phillcom Rally Time Attack is on this weekend the 25th of July @ Mallala.

Should be a good show, from what I here they put on a good event.

36 cars...from a R35 GTR to a RA40 Celica..... Yes Im bringing the Blue Whale out for a run.

Hope to see some of you there.

Strat.

Awesome weekend.

I think I will continue to run Time Attack, its time to learn another form of motorsport.

Very well organised club and day.

Finnished 4th in class and 8th oughtright. Stoked all i really wanted was a top 5 finnish, thought it wasnt going to happen due to a RF shocker fail.

Strat, how is it different to a Club sprint?
(not being funny, cause I have never been to a Time attack)

Nice to see Steve Knight 2nd O/R
Contrary to popular opinion, I do have mechanical sympathy, I always feel sorry for the cars I drive.

Not sure iv never done a sprint... i have been to one.

It seems similar yet more fun for me i guess.

Its hard to expalin, i didnt get too many laps but i was just as stuffed at the end of the day. :?

I get very bored if i stay in the same catigory too long. It ends up not being a mental challenge anymore.

Time Attack was a whole new learning experence for me. you have to get your lap 100% one error and thats it you dont have 8 more laps to recover. I had to be dialed in every time i hit the track.

Now i feel what mental strain the V8 supercar drivers must go through in a top 10 shootout, like you have 3/4 of a lap to prep so you can do the best you can in one lap.

Good fun I will do rd 3.... so much for me having a year off racing :o

Dude that thing wouldnt run all day. then he got it sorted for the last sesh and so nearly won the whole day. =D>

The last group 3 sesh was full on, the lead changed like 3 times! my gay tyres were tost for the final and I was 2 sec off my pace so decided to turn it into a drift prac... while compaining on the comms that i really needed beer.... 1:18 sliding every turn was probably the most fun.... yes even sliding the kink in 5th
made me feel like 20 again.
